It happened. Jair Messias Bolsonaro will be the next president of Brazil. Considered the worst politician in the world, because of his authoritarian and unbalanced behavior, Bolsonaro has been in politics for 29 years, and has approved only two single project for the country. He is known for hate speech, extremly chauvinist views and homophobia. The misogynist and fascist politician.
Thinking about my future, as a film industry worker, we will soon be out of work. Bolsonaro has plans to close the Ministry of Culture – less incentive laws for our area. For him, less investment for culture, is better. After all, we are a bunch of hobos in the eyes of conservatism. Trying to live in Europe would be an option for me, but it is difficult to quit the job that you have devoted years of study and live as an immigrant, not having the possibilty to work in your profession.

Bolsonaro presented himself as a radical alternative for the elite to take the leftist government out of power, which had been in power for 13 years. Bolsonaros popularity began to grow among large corporations and the upper classes because he stands for the interests of these people. His main proposals, for the few bourgeoise that he represents, are the limitation of workers rights of the lower classes and to privatize state-owned companies. Bolsonaro charmed the bourgeoisie and those who think they are bourgeois, by poor and conservative discourse, proposing radical changes in the economy and government planning – citing God above all and seeking the respect of the Brazilian family. A slogan that defends Christian God in a secular country and praising the heteronormative good customs in a country with so much diversity. Obviously something is not going the right way.
Bota essa bandeira no lugar!

The strong point was his speech – in favour of the Brazilian macho men – liberating gun possession, so that everyone can own firearms to defend himself. For him, the important thing is self-defense, it costs lives and does not try to solve the social inequality which is the actual basis of many problems.
Bolsonaro won the elections with Fake News – bombing WhatsApp-groups with lies against opponents. Furthermore he did not attend any debate with other candidates. He made a dirty campaign, full of lies and cowed, because he has no intellect and no government plan to be debated, he devised a plan for the elite and for the great evangelical religion that grows fiercely in Brazil, using the name of God to attract more believers.
For almost 60 million Brazilians who elected him last Sunday, it seems to me that they skipped all history classes and with indifference, they chose violence over education.
A onda bolsonarista é assustador

What I can say is that the commemoration of the Bolsonarians was irrigated with weapons and shots, including an 8-year-old child, accidentally shot by a man at a celebration.
What we have seen here is an installed chaos of ignorance and intolerance of voters who act as vigilantes on their own, with no justice and it also is an alarm for minorities. Gays are being beaten and killed. And now the prejudices are explicit and legitimatized by the most powerful man of the country.
What worries Brazilians the most is that Bolsonaro gave carte blanche to the military police to kill, being the most murderous in the world already.
And he just excluded the Ministry of Environment, putting the Amazon for sale. This is not a government, it’s an extermination.
The chaos is installed and hidden, and can lose its balance from 1st of January, when the new president takes over.
The police will enter the poor comunities (favelas) and do as they want. After all in his speech Bolsonaro said: A good thief is dead thief. Such a phrase, in a country with huge racist social inequality, where blacks are the weaker side, we are afraid of what is to come. We, from opposition, gays, women, blacks, are at risk – by the intolerant followers of the Bolsonaro-movement, who will persecute us, beat us and kill us. An intolerable hatred that runs through the streets of the country of diversity, beauty, joy and smile, which is hard to find anymore in the face of the people.

We will see if Bolsonaro manages to establish his government for four years, and hope that the regime does not change to a dictatorship.
Violence will be the major governing factor in the coming years, but we will continue to fight for our democratic rights, that we have struggled for 20 years and it will not be now that they will take this right from the Brazilian people.
We are still fighting. We will resist!
